Frank Moore

Frank has practised in Launceston since 1983 and became a partner at Archer Bushby in 1989. He has many years of experience helping people with personal injury claims including workers compensation, motor accident and other injury claims, and now practises solely in these fields.

Kate Alcorso


Kate is the firm’s most Senior Associate who heads our commercial law practice. She has degrees from the University of Tasmania in Law and Commerce with a major in Accounting and has maintained a substantial and busy practice since returning to Launceston in 2004 with a strong following of long term clients. Kate has particular interests in trusts, estates, wills, sales and purchases of business, specialised contracts and conveyancing.

Sam Claessens

A graduate of the University of Tasmania with a combined degree of Arts and Law, Sam returned home to settle in Launceston in 2012. He has a busy commercial law practice encompassing commercial and residential conveyancing, business and farm sales, leases, wills, probate and administration. As well as maintaining his Launceston practice, he manages the firm’s Scottsdale office and is our well known and established representative in the North East.

Emma Swirsky

Emma graduated from the University of Tasmania in December 2013 with a combined degree in Business and Law. She completed a graduate diploma of legal practice and was admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in August 2014. She joined Archer Bushby that year and practises in commercial law, including conveyancing, wills, powers of attorney, probate and estate administration. She has many happy clients who appreciate her personal approach, and her understanding of their particular
